Open Day in the Art Studios of Ménilmontant

Ménilmontant – or Ménilmuche as it was once known – is one of the most popular and lively districts in the French capital. From Aristide Briand to Django Reinhardt, Maurice Chevalier to Edith Piaf, numerous artists have created, sung and lived here on the north eastern edge of central Paris.

Its identity is very much linked to neighbouring Belleville, and this part of town is now one of the most creative hotspots in Paris. You’ll find street art everywhere, and creativity at every turn. During this event which lasts several days, the public is invited to step into the artists’ studios in the area, to meet the artist and see what goes on in their creative inner sanctum.

Take the opportunity to meet some of the artists, support their work and  ask them about their artistic techniques. Discovery tours are organised, both for adults and for children.
